How Suretherm Works

Revolutionary glass microsphere technology that acts like millions of tiny "battery cells" to store and release heat, keeping your walls warmer and eliminating condensation.

The Science Behind Suretherm

Understanding how glass microsphere technology eliminates condensation and prevents mould

Glass Microsphere Technology

Suretherm Anti-Condensation Paint contains millions of microscopic hollow glass spheres that work like tiny "battery cells" for heat energy.

These microspheres absorb heat from your room during the day and release it slowly, maintaining a higher surface temperature on your walls. This prevents the cold spots where condensation forms and mould grows.

Heat Storage & Release

Microspheres act as thermal batteries, storing and releasing heat energy

Higher Surface Temperature

Walls stay warmer, preventing condensation from forming

Mould Prevention

No condensation means no environment for mould to grow

How does it work?

Ordinary Emulsion

Ordinary Emulsion

Heat passes straight through emulsion paint as well as ordinary anti-mould paints.

Suretherm

Suretherm

Suretherm Anti Condensation Paint holds the heat on the surface which prevents condensation and mould growth.

Why Condensation Forms

The Problem:

  • Cold exterior walls create cold interior surfaces
  • Warm, moist air from daily activities hits these cold surfaces
  • Water vapor condenses into droplets when it cools
  • Persistent moisture creates perfect conditions for black mould

The Suretherm Solution:

  • Glass microspheres store heat energy in the paint layer
  • Wall surface stays several degrees warmer
  • Warm surface prevents moisture from condensing
  • No condensation = no mould growth

Independent Testing Confirms Performance

Independent tests confirm that surfaces treated with Suretherm take more than twice as long to cool down when compared to ordinary emulsion paint.

Independent laboratory testing (Brenda Peters – Analysis Labs) demonstrates Suretherm's superior thermal performance coating system maintains surface temperature significantly longer than competing anti-condensation paints.

How to Apply Suretherm

Follow these simple steps for best results. Suretherm applies like regular paint but delivers extraordinary performance.

Wall Application Diagram
1

Surface Preparation

Clean the surface thoroughly. Remove all loose paint, dirt, grease, and mould. For best results, treat existing mould with a fungicidal wash and allow to dry completely.

2

Stir Well

Stir the paint thoroughly before use to evenly distribute the glass microspheres. Do not thin - use straight from the tin.

3

Apply Two Coats

Apply first coat with roller or brush. Allow 4-6 hours drying time, then apply second coat for optimal performance.

4

Allow to Cure

Full cure time is 24-48 hours. Ensure good ventilation during application and drying for best results.
